For this week WordPress Wednesday post we will be looking through the Plugin directory to see what are some of the latest and greatest WordPress plugins for all who runs a WordPress site to try and hopefully keep activated. The plugins in this week post features plugins that track your incoming links, help with SEO with a new SEO plugin pack, helping you to develop child themes from themes that are already installed on your site, finding what are the best posts by allowing the users to vote also plugins that will shorten links as well of protecting your site, allowing the ones who showcase project on their site to have a management system and lastly a plugin that will sync you local & remote wordpress files.

1. Incoming Links


Incoming Links is a WordPress plugin but is still in Beta (at the time of posting) which will report all your incoming links and will automatically check the quality of those links (SEO Data like anchor text and the type of link: follow/nofollow).

2. Premium Seo Pack – Light Version


The Premium SEO Pack is one of the newest and most complete SEO WordPress Plugin that been released, The Premium SEO Pack Plugin has everything that you can possibly need, starting with page analysis, social stats, page validation, link builder and many many more. ()

3. Child Themes


This plugin is great for those who are a WordPress designer and that wants to spend more time doing what you love – writing CSS and playing with pixels – and less time doing the tedious chore of creating child themes, this plugin is for you.  Once you’ve installed this plugin you will visit the “Child Themes” menu option under “Appearance” and create a child theme from any installed theme using a simple form.

4. WP PostVoting


The WP PostVoting plugin will make your WordPRess site into a content voting site and also create a widget to display the most voted posts. This plugin use the power of the ajax, the users will be able to vote any posts instantly, from the admin panel you can decide whether you would like to allow or disallow unregistered users to vote.

5. Google Shortlink


The Google Shortlink plugin allows you to get short links from servise without leaving your site. This plugin works in two modes: it’s get short links by direct input or get short link for all external links on your site automacitally. With this plugin you can replace all external links on your site to short links, the plugin also displays a click-through statistics for each short link.

6. Injection Guard


The Injection Guard is a WordPress plugin which helps you to get relax about security of your website which can be disturbed by invalid query string based requests.

7. Projects by WooThemes


The Projects plugin by WooThemes is a clean and easy-to-use project showcase management system for WordPress. You can load in your recent projects, and display them on a specified page using WooThemes template system, or via a shortcode, widget or template tag.

8. FTP Sync


The FTP Sync WordPress plugin allows you to sync local and remote media uploads, theme files, and plugins folders with one click via FTP.  This is a great plugin if you do all your development on your localhost, you can initiate a sync whenever you need to from the FTP Sync options page.
