This is the second of my end of the year round up of HandPicked Goodies for Designers & Developers, for those who don’t know or new to the blog, I normally post these kinds of roundups at the start of every month during the year, so for today’s post will be focusing on all the brand newly made apps for both Windows & Mac (Mostly Mac Apps) that been released through this year.

Please Note that not every Apps that got featured on the monthly roundups will be featured today, as the list is huge anyway.

Cactus is a powerfull static web generator, it allows you to build websites locally, using modern web technologies, and have the results generated to a collection of flat files.

This is useful because setting up a server environment with Django or Ruby can be difficult and expensive as a static site generator lets you enjoy the flexibility of running a webserver, and host the generated flat files anywhere you’d like.

In 1994, two programmers started working on a web browser.
